Meet the first face you will likely encounter as you enter our offices at Fraser & Hoyt Incentives, Debra Reid. Stationed front and centre to the door she is a ray of sunshine in our workspace. Always putting her best foot forward for clients and coworkers alike Debra is an exemplary Account Executive, and valued member of the Fraser & Hoyt family.
Starting her career in the Incentives industry with Fraser & Hoyt 6 years ago, Debra brought to the team a wealth of experience in Operations Management from her time at The Brick Furniture. Leveraging her Bachelors in Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University and Certificate in Marketing Debra is able to put a positive spin on any circumstance, and create unique solutions for all of her clients. She was connected to our team through her cousin’s wife, who had previously worked with FHI, making the introduction to Kelly MacDonald (Manager, Industry Relations) for Debra, landing her in her initial position as a Business Development Coordinator focused in client acquisition. While she remains heavily involved in new business proposals and acquisitions, her present role in account management and customer service is where she truly shines.
Debra thrives on expanding her knowledge, both in and out of the office, where you can often find her with a new book in her hands. What she has come to love most about working in the Incentives industry is learning about employee recognition and team development opportunities, methods, and measures. She most especially loves being part of program development teams to create new ideas to excite their workforces and, ultimately, reward their employees. Debra sees opportunities within our industry for change, especially as it relates to giving immediate recognition options to employers, as is the modern trend, and is dedicated to doing so through continued learning and engagement.
Growing up in the rural community of Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia Debra set out initially to become a teacher or journalist, but found a love in the challenges and growth opportunities in the incentives industry. Since deploying her career with us Debra has embraced many other life direction changes including a proposal, subsequent marriage, and the birth of her now 2.5 year old son, Linden.
Debra is a highly valued and contributing member of the Fraser & Hoyt staff, and we are excited to see how she continues to push boundaries for our team, and all other teams we work with. Today, we recognize her.
